When a city girl returns from her two months long studies in Perlis, far far away from her beloved family, friends that can be jiwang-ed all the time, entertainment rich shopping complex and idiotic box but now a precious television, ireacts as if she has been electrocuted by merely looking at the amount of informations and updates she obtained from her flat-screened computer.
Yea, i hate to admit, but i feel kind of left out for being in matrix while all my friends are in their peak moment of happiness and fear free despite pressure from examinations. At least to get a slice of entertainment is so easy for them compared to me, mentally and physically locked in a four walls college.
Should i feel grateful or am i whining too much due to the comfortable and city life i use to have? Nevertheless, everyone is different. Maybe i am unique with my own way. Why compare as this might has been the best for me?
Frankly speaking, life in matriculation is not what i had expected-exciting and exhilarating most of the time. Maybe it is because of there is too few chinese, not even 100. Thank God there is third intake students. Really hope i can find a good friend that listen to blasting songs, crap a lot and of cause be there for me when i need a pillar of support. I don't wish that person can be almost like my secondary besties, but at least someone that can make me feel genuinely comfortable to share everything with.
Ok, lets transform to a happier mode. Karnival Kokurikulum Matrikukasi (KAKOM) 2010 has just ended fantastically on 28 July 2010, leaving the best piece of memory in my mind. I really enjoy the ambience of Johor Matriculation College though the landscape is almost tantamount to my college. However, the garden ubiquitous, much spacious and well-equipped college with stadium and squash court truly enticed my heart and bailing a temptation to migrate from KMP to KMJ. Less Claustrophobic i can feel, even the toilet is more comfortable than KMP toilet as we don't have to share with tremendous amount of malicious mosquitoes and orange black stripes charlie, all thanks to the emerald paddy fields.
To be apart of KAKOM participant truly gave me an eye opening experience and breath of freedom, far far away from boredom as we were very pampered and entertained there. Free T-shirts, jersey, sports shoe, cap, six meals a day, two dozens of mineral water, and oranges, bananas and breads, each 16 units. Imagine the amount of money government has invested to make this sports carnival a success. The spirit of sports is protruded clearly by each of the colleges. Cheers and shouts of slogans can be heard everywhere.

| and also best comander of the year! Wani was the only female comander among all the squads. Thumbs up for her courage and calmness in giving commands silver medal the back of our hostel where we had our durian feast + KFC at night the guy who looked like Alex Fong Last day of KAKOM : final match of sepak takraw, bringing down Kedah team and contributed to the only gold medal boys in cloud nine |
And so, the 4 days long competiton ended with Labuan Matriculation emerging as the champion, again grasping the top prize every year. Next year the host for KAKOM would be Selangor Matriculation college with their stunning yut entertaining and creative welcoming performance-altering Justin Bieber's song, Baby into their very own version.
Will certainly miss KMJ for its accommodation and also the freezing cold water!
