I Can't Stand the Musty Room btw =)

Tur-duc-ken. Well that is how you name it when you have chicken stuffed into duck and duck stuffed into turkey! Seriously laughed my lung out. Right, how do I know this? It's from Glee! Hahaha...11.40pm and I'm still watching still though tomorrow is Biopop exam. Duh...I just can't stand staying in the room myself. Eerie silence pierced the musty room, empty cabinet and naked mattress. Gone are my two roommates, and here I am alone. I'll just let Glee fill the blanks. Tomorrow, I need to charged up and score well in Biopop. I'm a fighter. Go go go.

first year ROCKS ON!

It's sweltering hot Wednesday. Life goes on. The traffic never stops. Mum's sewing machine grumbled since morning. And time, never stops ticking too. Soon, dusk will arrive, and then, you'll see a blanket of dark clouds. Stars, I doubt I'll see you. The last time was when I was 14. It's amazing how you really light up the small island. Twinkling up there happily.

My first year ended on 20 June with my last exam paper. It really shook me up to know that living life the fullest equals to leaping another period of your life. Started on 4th of September 2011 and ended on 20th of June 2012. Everything that appears vividly in my mind now seems to have just happened yesterday. My first year was packed with activities, community works, lectures and also social bonding with people around me.

Let's just begin with my two rooommates. Honestly speaking, there's not much chemistry among us. It's like we would not ask each other's where about although it is 12 midnight. The room will be awkwardly silent if there is only two of us but will be gleefully noisy when us trio, giggling, sometimes laughter erupted; gossiping; criticizing each other yet in an inoffensive way; and most of the night, there will be roommie forum on love topic. We did crazy things together as well - impromptu trip to Muar! Some other moments in college would be devouring icy cold ABC and cendol, food hunting in night market and attending prom night together.
It is grateful to say that, we do not quarrel or have and cold war. Most of the time, we three forgive and forget. It's nice having them as they are the neutral kind of people.

Siau Hom, is a scrawny Kelantanese lass who I find very comfortable talking to ever since MHS. We become great buddies instantly and share lots of happy moment together - expo group in PTUM, sleepover in my room and woke up late on the day to CC trip, SUKMUM basketball with her, fainting in her arm when I donated my blood and many more. However, upon knowing some little secret from another person's mouth, my good perceptions towards her are now at the edge of the sword. The main point is, she ain't like anyone else, as in she do not share her past with me. I wonder is it a real dark past that cannot be unfolded under light. Anyhow, I hope she is happy and safe with her new boyfriend. I will leave out all for time to reveal.

For the past few months, I slept 4am almost daily for MKC. MKC was really a great bonding platform. I got to know Patrick, Carmen, Yi Ling and Yan Fang. Well, the four of them left much dent in my mind because they are all benevolent people who gave me a hand whenever I needed. Happy to know Patrick and Carmen especially for both of them are CC heads of 2011 and 2012 batch respectively. I really hope to chat more with Patrick. LOL. Don't know why, but I just hope to know him. Overall, I did not find any difficulties handling my post as a costume head, except for cracking up head on the hairdo and makeup for performers. But thanks to all the blessing, seniors always helped me figured out all.

Apart from this event, I still could find time to slot in time for my favourite hobby - swimming. Owh...speaking on that, it is the most relaxing and beautiful sports. The only sound you can hear is only your respiration, the only free water massage you can get, and the only salty squalid water you can drink!

Joined Bersih 2.0 and Lynas Demonstration

Though the thick crowds from all walks of life; from Malay to Chinese, from septuagenarians to young pint sized kids, from couple to family; from Pahangite to Kuala Lumpurian, from carrying banners which some were controversial like the one with Najib's picture to some distributing green angry birds balloon, at that moment, the mission is only one - to parade through Dataran Merdeka, sit and protest in harmony.

But by noon we reached Masjid Jamek LRT station, never thought that we'll be sitting there till 3.30pm when the police started their ambush on us. Tear gas began to be thrown and all of us scurried and the group dispersed in all directions. My eyes started to blink ceaselessly in pain like the camera shutter and intense inflammation and burning sensation started to hit my eyes. Panicked, I tried hard to keep my sight and soon I felt the same thing in my throat. Oh shit this time. Never in my life I feel this, and at that moment I just don't wanna lose my sight and be safe.

We went and hide in a alley and a Good Samaritan passed the sour pickles to us. We recovered instantly and continued running for our lives. Well, at least we are safe and sound now, and gained new experience. I don't think it is something I'll do again because I just detest politics, except for the sake of Lynas, and in fact, little do I know my purpose participating Bersih 3.0. So long politics!

PM training is up soon, sacrificing my two months preciously break which in that epoch, I can earn money, gain new working experience, keep in touch with friends, make meticulous planning for UMCares competition, finish up a few novels, National Geographic is waiting for me as well, Glee and Secret Garden waiting for me to savour, learn cooking from mum, and driving from Dad. Nevertheless, after decision is made, no regrets. Hopefully becoming PM will gain me precious experience as well, though without Haw Man, Patrick, Tam =( and PM training will make me appreciate time more! GOGOGOGO!

Stunned

It was long since we last met. About two months? Myriad changes from him often bumped into me on facebook from time to time though I never really have time to ask and get updated. Only today, I've got no idea why I viewed his profile and to my amazement, spool of comments, prays, and congratulations reeled as I scrolled down his page. Then only I got to know he lost his galaxy note. Gasped in surprised, I continued reading for more. Never thought that such petty incident got its way to The Star newspaper and another chinese tabloid. I was even shocked to not knowing this as I'm a daily reader of The Star newspaper. It was on 9 June, Saturday tabloid and I remembered skipped reading it cause of calculus paper, for good apparently, or else, I'll start asking him around, helping out, and lose time to study.

His snow white phone which sized triple my phone which I always fondly laugh at whenever he speaks to it, was stolen by notorious thief who pretended to be a good Samaritan. His car was stuck in the mud as he tried to avoid a motorcycle in Jalan Shamelin. Well well, guess the motorist who helped him was also the one who initially had targeted him for his phone, as such, had intrigued on driving near his car so that he'll swerve to the barricade construction on the side way and got trapped in the mud.

The beauty of this incident was a lot of other Good Samaritans of all races came and helped my dear friend (only one with notorious intention). And in the end, my friend hugged the Malay who helped in and said "Kita memang satu Malaysia" and the Malay replied "tak apa, kita PengYou". It really tickled me. Upon reading his story, I pm-ed him. Previously I pm-ed him as well, but he did not reply, which made me curious because it was so not him. And finally when he replied me, he gave a real bad news.

"She Mei, my dad just passed away and I dono what to do."

My jaw dropped to the utmost level. Without further a do, I called him. He was sobbing a little, trying hard not to let it sound in the phone while swallowing the swell in his throat. Hmm just wish I'm there to comfort him. But guess the best remedy is just to cried out loud and let it all out. Hope he'll feel better in the space alone. He'll have to flung his exam tomorrow.

Rest in peace Uncle Lim. Your son is a good and reliable guy who will certainly take good care of himself, granny and mummy. May you bless him with good life.
