Colour bursting in the dark sky

Pairs of wings in the air force blue sky; polychrome fireworks erupting in the ebony night,
Quiet, sleepy dawn; energetic, lively midnight,
In the bustled morning market, buying paraphernalia; in the hustled night, preparing for the annual Ti Gong Dan, offering table of scrumptious and luxurious food.

630am. The earliest tick on the clock I ever woke up during this holiday. The purpose was to the always invigorating morning market which was awash with the elders, the mothers and the fathers.Except for the malodorous and noisome odour near the butcher area, the morning market always exudes redolent and humanity warmth when little bickering between the reluctant hardworking vendors and determined price-killer buyers occurs at the vegetable stall, jewellery kiosks on the other side and fruit stalls at the mouth of the market which eventually brings the community closer especially if the negotiation succeeded.

Morning market although it could be filthy sometimes, always makes me feel much like home compared to those wet and dry grocery items laying there on the shelves with a fixed price in an enormous supermarket. We headed straight to the butcher where mum purchased the roasted pork rib which smelled sinfully tempting, not forgetting the golden crunchy crispy layer of skin. A mere one hour got my hands full with plastic bags. Fortunately we had our car which made our day convenient.
After breakfast with long-time-no-eat "wun zai kou" - whitish tasteless dumpling with shape of a bowl, eaten with scantily chopped "za choy" - salty vegetables and brick-red chilly paste, I finished up the daily chores of floor sweeping and hurried for Sem 2 online registration. Thank God I got to register all the university courses before it was full. By time, I started feeling drowsy. However, no time for sleeping as I got to make two important calls to Stabilo and Digi.

My first attempt calling for sponsorship and apparently it was not as difficult as I thought. Stabilo listened to my explaination on CZ event. On contrary, Digi speaked straigth forwardly by asking me to mail them the proposal as if they were used to dealing with sponsoring U's event. Phew, sweats aside. My tasks were done. Lalallaa

Outing time! Sakae sushi in Farenheit with Tong Kwun and Serene.

Today main purpose of outing was to purchase Avril Lavigne's concert ticket! Couldn't believe I am going! Ecstatic still though it had dwindled a bit as time past.

Victoria Music Centre. A place I always visit but does not know It's name. Purchased the ticket there and also the unexpected Mylo Xyloto Coldplay album! of only RM35! I bought it without much hesitation because it was affordable to me, just like buying any sassy dress in Sungei wang =P My third original album and also my first Coldplay album :)))))) Thought of buying it as Patrick's bday present at the first thought but I yearned it tooooo. Hhahaha maybe I'll buy another one for him if He haven't.

Para-para-paradise~~~~

As the night came falling in, I was in Uncle's house for their annual buffet. Finally made a breakthrough as I made a few chat with cousin Wee Yau. We are cousins, but our useless ego made a huge gap. Our close bonding had been loosen since we reached adulthood and it was on the edge of diminishing ruefully. We no longer speak, not even a smile. This disheartening picture pushed me beyond boundaries, away from my elder sister and brother shadow as I vowed to chat with them like we used to fooling around when we were children. Next target will be Ah Yi's sons. Why not? Haahhaha after all they are friendly. I always believe self-initiative. They desire for us to approach them like how we yearn for it too. The first step is always the hardest however the first step we made is always a great ice breaking.

Struck, and thanks for the strike, I would like to strike harder

Jolted up today at 530am with sharp kicking pain in my stomach. Guess that was how the famines feel everyday. I couldn't believe that hunger could actually result me to this point that I've never experienced before. I then bent to foetal position and try sleeping again in hope the slumber could diminish the pain. but to no avail. I crept reluctantly down my creaking double decker bed into the darkness of the kitchen painstakingly and silently in hope no one caught the little mice scavenging for the way-too-early-breakfast. Two slices of bread and a cup of piping hot milo with arduous effort of making slightest sound from stirring the drink to opening the fridge as if even the sound of feather landing or dropping a needle could be heard.

Back to the title of the post today. My dekstop is backkk finally and I am so here today after the hiatus due to the sot-plak computer. Glimpsed on Chow's blog (as usual). He won two tickets to FOSTER THE PEOPLE! That was for the win. He always been so lucky. Guess this was his second winning after Adam Lambert's *jealous* But unfortunately he fall sick and couldn't attend. I wonder who is the lucky one who can parasite on the ticx!

Anyhow the main point is not about the ticx but his HKU interview, stand for Hong Kong University i guess. Chow has always been inspiring to me stealthily. His comment on his interview struck me most when the interviewer asked on their opinion on religious issue of the world. His quote " what the fuck" really did spelled in mind too as I read the lines. Ouch. It sucks if I just gaped during the whole interview session.

What struck me the uttermost, is the importance of reading and having numerous knowledge in mind so you can give a good argument. That real gave me a great gist that is currently dwindling as I began to question the point of reading.

A good kick start and I am going to continue it.

Turmoil days

Fuh..... I'm back, with a very turmoil heart, you know? Intense tightness on the back of my neck and pressure on my chest as if someone is resting his ass on my petite body causing me to be literally holding my breath while millions of arteries and veins are screaming and wailing to be freed from the blockage. I still can barely breathe well even after 30 minutes drive to home after 24 drums practice. Drowsy feeling imbues me cause there are just too much things I need to express before I blow my own head.

The first and the utmost mind-blogging issue is just now 24 drums practice. I just feel so darn uncomfortable now. Hope I can express it as vivid and precise as possible here. Number one, is the extreme dismay feeling in my little heart that is always pumped up with extreme ferventness and commitments. Again, the three highly prolific girls in my college were playing truant again. I detest commitment-less person frankly speaking. Darn hate. I mean, why in the first play you are so eager to join but the next moment, you made history as the worst attendee on earth, in directly ruin our batch's reputation and also making us infamous for such shameful thing? Come on. Python gives very much commitment on this practice so with other seniors. The willingness to sacrifice for the sake of us - so that we can stand out proudly in front with our most boastful facial expression, conveying flawless or almost perfect show to the audience, leaving them hanging half way so that they can ahh-ed and say " we want more", and we accept their applause with most humble manner.

I too, start to feel my adrenaline rush dwindling day by day as we are merely practicing the same old style in the same old method and with the same old people that we barely talk to each other. And besides, I could have gone back for long ever since Tuesday since my next paper will be on Monday. But hey, I stay until today, Friday just for the sake of the two hours practice. But why? because I am committed to this, and I choose to commit to this with full cooperation. That's the way I believe everyone should be. I just feel the three girls are way too irresponsible.

Okok..I know you girls have your boyfriend to please, to have fun with and so on. Go ahead. But two out of eight attendance? Oh God. Speechless. I mean, boyfriend is important but couldn't you girls allocate some time for the practice at least? Half the attendance would definitely sounds better than the prevailing condition. Shame on you girls. You girls will be the one who will suffer the most since your beat sense is still incompetent, I wonder how you have to catch up what you have left, needless to say the basic facial expression. Most importantly, don't you guys feel bad for dragging us down as a team? Shame is never a word in your tiny brain is it?

Second, is the devoid of unity among us. Guess we don't break the ice at all don't we? Is it that hard to be  shatter by us all or is it we are all to shy to be the precursor? It makes me feel less warm as the chemistry is dry and the friendship bond is not intact. Get hooked up with each other people! We need to communicate among our team members so then only we can burst the stage with our most colourful, youthful and powerful energy. Sometimes Most of the time, I just wanna stand up and do something on it. I did at least, besides the standing. I voiced out my opinion bravely and in my most humble tone, sitting. Right now, I just want to endeavor more in self-practicing and also, approach Jie Ying and other two girls. I just feel the strong urge to do so. Call me Gila, but I need remember to hold myself strong too, never to let my heart fluctuates by tiny fragments of critics and laments on me being syok sendiri or ke po (hokkien). I must be me. Just me. That's me.

I feel much better now, a BIG relieve indeed after depositing that BIG heap of rock on my shoulders.

Third, is about my own foolishness. I don't really wanna talk about it cause it feels like as if I am lifting back that rock on my shoulders again. Nevertheless, I will keep it short and neat rather than now keeping it as a record.

Thursday. Hush Puppies warehouse sales brought the sales-maniac Siau Hom, dragging me along to JayaOne, just to try our luck whether we have fate with any of the way-to-cheap branded shoes. Disappointingly, I could find my cup of tea, or maybe because I did not set up my visionary ideal shoe ( see i can't even decide properly  what i want actually : shoe? flats? high heels? ). Not giving up, I scrutinize the obsoletely designed footwear again, hoping to pick up those that my eyes might have left out. I did found a sneaker, but as I hold it for examination, I asked myself is it necessary to spend RM130 for a hush puppies sneaker? My Nike is still viable at least, even after one time "surgery stitch". And what I want now is more to flat (but sneaker at the same time too lest the Nike couldn't resist on my daily long stretch of walking in UM), and if i happened to purchase the sneaker, I would have to spare some more money for flat. Why not I just put my aim on flat instead as it can sometimes be worn to lecture, outing and also upcoming CNY and keeping Nike as my only option of sneaker?

Ultimately, I placed back the shoe carefully. As we headed to the exit, my mind was still hovering on the dispute and debate among the angel and demon, needless to say on the way back. Upon reaching, only, I'd made my decision - i want that shoe. I confided to Siau Hom, causing her legs to wobble and almost fell on ground superficially. The eagerness is just way to strong that for one moment, I felt like taking a bus back there just for the shoe lest it will run away with another person. Later on while in room, I couldn't even concentrate reading but incessant grumble, moan and groan of my own idiotic and indecisiveness kept distracting my attention.

Luckily, En Jou was kind enough to accompany me to there shoe heaven. As to repay her kindness, I wished to celebrate her ending of examination by accompanying her to SS2 night market while I can also cheer my DaBs' day up with "to hua tang yuan". As we were waiting for the bus, we were hesitating whether we were standing on the right bus stop on the right side of the two-ways road. When a bus stopped on the opposite side, En Jou and I hesitated awhile whether to board or not. Both of us were unclear on the correct bus too, but the long period of waiting struck us a notion that we might be wrong waiting on that side and perhaps, boarding the one on the opposite will merely drive us one U-turn back to Um before heading to the night market. Upon boarding, I did asked the driver's for conformation. But that artificially sincere nod yet devoid of eye contact, drove us to Petaling Street T.T

Not only that, we got an earful from a scrawny haggard Chinese woman bus conductor for venturing in the eerie and hazardous KL night. She warned us some of the unfortunate incidents where girls were being caught and raped by heartlessly cruel cold-blooded maniac. Though that ear-pickling groans shot incessantly to us like machine gun, we were glad that at least she was darn kind and sincere, bringing us to board on the correct bus. Finally, 8pm, we reached UM. Ravenous me. Haih..yet another never ending humiliating incident. After we alighted the bus, due to the ebony darkness, we were lost again in the middle of the road. The path that we thought led to PJ gate had seemed to be vanished in some alleys. We couldn't find it so we take a cab. However, as the cabbie stopped for red light, a quick swerve to the right struck me in surprise and shock. That moment, I felt like kamikaze-ing. UM was just on the right side of us. That lofty arch perched with UM logo. Both of us felt like burrowing into the soil just to hide our face. Fortunately, the driver let us down without charging us.

OMG........that day, I couldn't help finding this disappointing and humiliating as a KL-born. Shame on myself. That night, after that lengthy walk from KL gate to 7th college, our plan to enjoy and reward our aching feet with scrumptious juicy burgers crushed into piece as the stall was not open. Ok, fine. So we went back our room, and after our bubble bath, we gorged on piping hot maggi mee.

Hmmm...i was still speechless on this incident, that's why I'm writing. I got no guts to share it to anyone. Perhaps after sometime. At least, I bought that hush puppies shoe! which is so darn worth for mere RM 130.

Awhhhh that golden shoe with vermilion lining.

The 100th post goes to....the talking of the most energy draining exam ever TT

Like literally. OMG...I made it through at least. We were like boring the paper for the most precise answer in hope our laser eyes can aimed it accurately for a straight two hours. I'm feeling lethargic and fatigue now, needing a freezing cold ice cream to let the clogged adrenaline to rush. What a day. At least the continuous and earnest reading of unsystematic, confusing and abundant lecture notes did not gone in vain for I'd been reiterated it for days.

I'd been in this conflict which is now practically magnifying especially after this good-for-nothing-except-memory-testing exam. I'm trying very hard to keep it as teensy as possible lest it provokes rebellion of studying during this crucial 15 days.

Ok but now let's face.

Today paper was smooth sailing except for the time management part. 50 questions I quelled it slowly to the end in the last one hour. Hesitation and hesitation did stop me in few questions, delaying my time. But that would not happen if I had super duper memory like those microSD card in your phone. Afterall, like I said earlier, the questions were made depending largely on the lecture notes. In other words, the answers choice were exactly the same as the bullet notes. I mean what's the point of making 90 questions in which we were tested for the ability to memorise rather than testing our application skills, critical thinking and problem solving?

The knowledge we had obtained were supposed to be put in use to further value our sincere effort of learning and lecturer's earnest teaching contribution. Having turn our brain into a photocopying machine or merely extracting jargon, scientific concepts and flow chart of a biological reaction from the book to our memory and to the exam OMR paper was a pointless procedure for me. The fact that this-is-examination-all-about, I have long borne up. "Okkkaayyy let it be" - a phrase that I often use to talk myself out from such frustration.

Maybe I'd changed a lot after evolutionary phase in matriculation. I've opened up my mind in learning perspective that we need to be sheer inquisitive, precise and meticulous in learning so that we can fully obtain something we always take it for granted, merely from textbooks and lecture notes - knowledge. One should always appreciate knowledge and continue to thirst for it for the satisfaction can be gained much from that. Just that. Nothing else. Nothing else in the world can give you that secure feeling, that confident feeling that you are smart but not book smart.

So then, I'm gonna embark on another another read-and-paste examination - bio organism. That's boring.
