Day 2

-->
Rise and shine. Breakfast was again fantastic. I tortured my system by gorging Penang famous food :

Wantan mee!! the main character is the pork =P

popiah..ordinary though..

yummy yummy apom

Then, we explored the War Museum. Except for the boring one hour plus ride to the destination, the whole RM15 visit truly worth paying as it opened another chapter of knowledge of our country’s history.

but we have to climb to reach....

that small building >< gasp! haha just joking. its a far more bigger one

real big gun

On 23 February 1946, General Yamashita was hanged. After climbing the thirteen steps leading to the gallows

Lunch was mee sotong-yellow mee sauté with red hot chilli and sotong belacan as the side dish. Though it tasted a bit like rojak, but certainly it was worth eating as we didn’t get the chance to on the first day. The ais kacang added another blast in my tastebuds as there was a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it. Ordinary, but it was a perfect match with blended ice decorated like a Christmas tree with red beans, corns, atapchi, red syrup and condensed milk. We also treated Adrian and Pei Yi for their good deeds.

mi sotong
   ice kacang!

Plus point for them too as they even accompany us to the jetty, having to sacrifice walking under the merciless glare of sun. After saying goodbye and the guys exchange shake of hands, we boarded the ferry which was free of charge this time followed by the tedious long bus ride from Butterworth back to Kangar. As expected we were late, reached at around 7pm. We then ate dinner in a Chinese restaurant. Queer, I was very energetic when everyone looked blur and walked sluggishly. But at least, Ba Kut The cheered them up  a little.
We reached KMP at 830pm and fortunately got outing book.
Hah~~ so was the Penang trip. Short, but pack with excitement :]
